Farewell: Outgoing US Consul General visits LSE
LSE members thanked her for playing an outstanding role in improving commercial, economic and cultural ties.

The outgoing US Consul General, Carmela Conroy, paid a farewell visit to the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) on Thursday, a statement said. LSE members thanked her for playing an outstanding role in improving commercial, economic and cultural ties between Pakistan and the United States. Conroy was accompanied by US consulate’s Political and Economic Section Chief Karen Swaner and Economic Officer Rober Hawkins. The delegation was welcomed by LSE CEO/MD Aftab Ahmad. The visiting dignitaries also met directors and senior members of LSE. Conroy appreciated LSE’s role in the development of the capital market. She said that the lack of consistency in government’s policies discouraged foreign investment in Pakistan.
