The Rawalpindi district judiciary has fully digitised its judicial system, making all court proceedings available online.
Now, all cases scheduled before the 25 Additional District and Sessions Judges and 75 Civil and Family Judges in Rawalpindi can be accessed by lawyers and litigants from their homes.
Punjab's district judiciary has launched a dedicated mobile application called District Judiciary Punjab, which includes details of courts across all 43 districts of the province.
Through this app, lawyers, litigants, and even accused individuals can check case proceedings by entering the judge's name or the case number.
The app updates daily with information on bail applications, case hearings, and new dates.
The Supreme Court Chief Justice, Lahore High Court Chief Justice, and overseas Pakistani litigants can also monitor judicial proceedings through the platform.
Sardar Manzar Bashir, President of the District Bar, and Supreme Court Advocate Shanzeib Khan hailed this as a "digital revolution" in the subordinate judiciary.
They noted that this initiative eliminates the need to rely on court staff for case updates, making the legal system more transparent and accessible. The app also includes case data from Rawalpindi's sub-divisional courts in Gujar Khan, Taxila, Kallar Syedan, Murree, Kahuta, and Kotli Sattian.
