Imran criticised for 'tarnishing Pakistan image'

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) slammed on Saturday former premier Imran Khan for his article in the US magazine Time, calling it a calculated attempt to damage Pakistan's international standing.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Parliamentary Party in the Senate and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, termed the piece misleading and irresponsible, accusing Khan of distorting facts to serve his political narrative at the cost of the country's reputation.

Senator Siddiqui strongly condemned the article, saying it is a deliberate and reprehensible effort to tarnish Pakistan's global reputation. In a statement posted on the social media platform 'X', the senior PML-N leader lambasted Khan, accusing him of unfairly portraying Pakistan as being in a "dark era" by leveling unfounded allegations against the government, judiciary, armed forces and other state institutions.
