The State Bank of Pakistan has announced that Monday, March 3, 2025, will be observed as a bank holiday across the country.
The closure coincides with the first day of Ramadan and is designated for Zakat deduction. According to an official notification, all banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and Microfinance Banks (MFBs) will remain closed for public dealings on this date.
However, bank employees are required to report to work as usual, as the day will be treated as a normal working day except for customer services.
The central bank has advised customers to plan their transactions accordingly. Digital banking services, including ATMs and online banking, will remain operational during the holiday.
