New FIR emerges against Jatoi from Dadu
The Grand Democratic Alliance leader and former federal minister Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi faced registration of one more FIR against him on Thursday.
The new FIR, which was registered at Ameenani police station on the state's complaint, charged him and his associates with assaulting police in which two cops were injured.
The Ameenani police submitted a plea before the Anti-Terrorism Court to obtain remand of Jatoi who is languishing in Nara Jail since February 17 when he was arrested from Noushehro Feroze in connection with a February 8, 2024 general election day murder FIR lodged against him at Moro police station in 2024.
His family has so far secured bail in five FIRs in addition to an order of the Sindh High Court which barred police from arresting him in any case except for the three FIRs which were brought on record before the SHC.
