Want to ramp up your beach game? If so, you could always take a leaf out of television star Hania Aamir's book as she shines in photographer Aleena Naqvi's latest beach photoshoot.
Oozing natural beauty as she embraces the shore and the waves, Aamir steals the show in 16 out of the 20 photos shared by Naqvi on her Instagram handle in a carousel post. As for the remaining four photos? Naqvi captures nature at its finest in the form of the foamy sea and a shot of the waves crashing down upon the sand. Oh, and a close-up of a bag of oranges. And maybe a plate of golden apples basking in the sunshine.
For the duration of this latest shoot, Aamir has ditched the hair extensions so favoured by television producers, and is flaunting the short hair she loves. In an interview with the BBC Asian Network last year, the Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum star had lamented short hair being frowned upon for her television roles – a restriction that no longer applies when letting go on the beach.
Whether it is a deep red outfit almost pulsating in stark contrast to the sea, a deep blue and white embroidered get-up complementing the shore, or pastels of teal and lavender blending in with the surroundings, Aamir shines throughout.
The carousel captures the many variations in the tide, with Aamir kneeling down on the sand during a spell of low tide, sitting back in an artistically placed chair during high tide as the waves come crashing down upon her, and collecting shells in a bucket knee-deep in the sea.
One thing that Aamir has been spared throughout her time on the beach? The dreaded beach hair. Throughout the carousel, we see three distinct looks that we will be rushing to try ourselves for our next beach picnic. The first eye-catching style is the slicked back in a bun to keep those flyaways at bay. For the second, Aamir has pulled back with a ribbon, radiating 1950s Enid Blyton charm. And finally, Aamir has let her hair down – literally – as her locks fly in the wind and frame her face, capturing the very essence of the wind and the ebb and flow of the sea.
All of which, of course, is a marked contrast to the looks rocked by the star during fellow actor Yumna Zaidi's sister's wedding at the beginning of the year, proving that Aamir's natural beauty blends in on both the dance floor and the shore.
