
The federal cabinet is expected to expand within the next two days, with new ministers likely to be sworn in at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on February 27 or 28, Express News reported.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the cabinet expansion is set to include members from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
Among the PML-N lawmakers expected to join the cabinet are Hanif Abbasi, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Talal Chaudhry, and Afzal Khokhar. From MQM-P, Mustafa Kamal, Barrister Aqil, and Huzaifa Rahman are set to take ministerial positions.
Additionally, Abdul Rehman Kanju and Sardar Yusuf, who previously served as federal ministers, will also be inducted. Dr Tauqeer Shah has been designated as an advisor to the prime minister.
The government has also decided to include female lawmaker Nosheen Iftikhar from Sialkot, along with Romina Khurshid Alam, Raza Hayat Hiraj, and Chaudhry Riaz in the new cabinet lineup.
The swearing-in ceremony for the new cabinet members is scheduled to take place at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on February 27 or 28.
