Football: All square as PPFL resumes after break

Baloch FC, KPT, PIA, Muslim FC draw football league matches.

KARACHI:
Baloch FC’s striker Sanaullah struck a late equaliser to rescue his side and draw their Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match 1-1 against KPT yesterday.

The league resumed yesterday after an extended Ramazan and Eid break with PIA and Muslim FC also showing the same scoreline for their match.

However, Sanaullah stole the limelight by scoring an equaliser in the final minute of injury time, rounding off three defenders on a solo run to save Baloch FC blushes. However, it was KPT that dominated the best part of match that was shifted to Sharafi Godh due to accumulated rain water at the KPT Stadium. The side took the early lead through Zafar Majeed in the 12th minute.

In the other match, Muslim FC were the first to score when Saeed Ahmed put them ahead in the 12th minute. However, second-placed PIA, after struggling to score in the next 70 minutes, finally found the target via Shakir Lashari just eight minutes before the end to share the spoils.
