Fresh spell of rains likely to begin today: Met Office
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted thunderstorms, rain, and strong winds across several cities this evening. According to the department, most areas in Balochistan will experience cloudy weather on Monday.
Rain with thunder and snowfall in the mountains is expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Mastung, and Pishin during the evening.
Additionally, Chaghi, Nushki, Khuzdar, Barkhan, Sibi, Hernai, Zhob, and Musa Khel will witness strong winds and thunderstorms.
The minimum temperatures recorded in various regions are: 7°C in Quetta, 5°C in Kalat, 3°C in Ziarat, 9°C in Zhob, 14°C in Sibi, 19°C in Turbat, 15°C in Nokundi, and 12°C in Chaman.
In coastal areas, the minimum temperatures are: 18°C in Gwadar and 19°C in Jiwani.
The weather system causing this rain is expected to enter Pakistan through Balochistan today.
The weather department also forecasts strong winds and rain in most districts of Punjab from February 25 to March 1, with snow and rain expected in the hilly areas like Murree and Galyat.
Earlier this weekend, Murree experienced a significant influx of tourists eager to enjoy its snow-covered peaks and crisp winter air.
Roads leading to the hill station were clogged with cars, buses, and motorcycles as families, friends, and couples flocked to the popular destination.
Murree’s winter landscape, with frosty vistas, frozen lakes, and scenic valleys, captivated visitors. One student from Islamabad, who visited with friends, shared, “I had been waiting for this trip for weeks.”
