Fire breaks out at beverage factory
A severe fire broke out at the beverage manufacturing factory, Murree Brewery, located in the area of Civil Lines Police Station, Rawalpindi, on Sunday. The fire caused significant damage to one of the factory's plants and the warehouse where beverage bottles were stored. Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi controlled the fire and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the blaze.
According to details, the fire erupted early in the morning at the beverage factory near Gulistan Colony in the Civil Lines area. However, as it was a Sunday, there were no casualties. When contacted, the factory staff informed that the fire broke out suddenly in one of the plants and quickly spread to the entire plant and the adjoining warehouse where beverage bottles were stored.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, upon receiving the emergency call, a team from Rescue 1122 reached the scene and began firefighting operations. After more than two hours of continuous efforts, the fire was brought under control, and the cooling process was completed.
According to Usman Gujjar, the spokesperson for the Rescue 1122, the firefighting operation involved seven fire tenders, 10 emergency vehicles, and 30 firefighters and rescuers. He added that the cooling process is still ongoing in the affected areas of the factory. However, the cause of the fire has not been determined yet.
