In a remarkable display of skill and consistency, Virat Kohli achieved few significant milestones during India's high-stakes match against Pakistan in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025.

Firstly, Kohli became the fastest batter to reach 14,000 runs in One Day International (ODI) cricket. He accomplished this feat in just 287 innings, surpassing the previous record held by Sachin Tendulkar, who achieved the same in 350 innings.

The star batter has also set a new benchmark in Indian cricket by surpassing Mohammad Azharuddin's record for the most catches by an Indian fielder in One Day Internationals (ODIs).

During the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Kohli achieved his 157th catch, overtaking Azharuddin's tally of 156.

Meanwhile, Kohli also registered his 74th ODI half-century, marking his sixth against Pakistan in the 50-over format. This achievement places him alongside former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and Indian legends Sunil Gavaskar and Navjot Singh Sidhu, all of whom have six half-centuries in India-Pakistan ODIs.

The record for the most fifties in these encounters is held by Indian duo Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, with 21 and 16 respectively.

Kohli's exceptional performance not only underscores his enduring prowess in ODI cricket but also significantly contributed to India's commanding six-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Champions Trophy.
