City to face water shortage due to repairs

Water supply to a large part of the city was affected due to the repair work of the lines by the Water Corporation.

The repair work will be completed on Monday due to which the water system in the city was disrupted. Water supply from government hydrants is also severely affected.

The Dhabeji pumping station was shut down due to the repair work of the 54-inch diameter main lines in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and 48-inch diameter in Liaquatabad due to which water supply to Korangi, Landhi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Golimar, Gulbahar, Liaquatabad, PIB Colony, Old City Area, Nazimabad and other areas is affected.

Officials say that the repair work will be completed within 72 hours. After the repair the supply will improve in the city. There were leaks in the lines, which were supposed to be repaired before Ramazan.
