Pakistan weather forecast: Dry conditions follow rain system’s exit

Dry weather returns across the country, with cold conditions expected in many regions.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that the weather in Pakistan has turned dry once again, as the rain-bearing system that affected most of Punjab, including Lahore, has moved out.

The country’s plains are now experiencing a dry spell, although the residual effects of recent rainfall and snowfall in the mountainous regions are still being felt.

In Lahore, the minimum temperature today was recorded at 9°C, with a maximum of 23°C expected. The weather is forecast to remain cold and dry across most of the country, including the federal capital, Islamabad, and its surrounding areas.

In Punjab, a dry spell is expected across most districts, with severe cold and partially cloudy skies forecasted for Murree, Galyat, and neighbouring areas.

In Sindh, the weather will remain dry in most districts, though a few areas may experience partial cloud cover. Similarly, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dry and cold weather is anticipated in most districts, with the upper regions experiencing severe cold.

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, a cold and partly cloudy weather pattern is expected to persist. The southern regions of Balochistan are also expected to experience dry and cold weather, with northern areas seeing severe cold conditions.

The dry weather is set to last throughout the weekend, with a continued cold spell in the country’s northern and central regions.
