Rawalpindi Bar Association polls today

The annual elections of the High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi will be held on Saturday (today).

A total of 5,500 lawyers are expected to cast their votes. Polling will take place from 8am to 4pm, with all preparations finalised.

This year, lawyers from Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Talagang, Chakwal, Murree, as well as District Mianwali and Tehsil Sarai Alamgir, will also participate in the voting process.

The contest for the presidency is expected to be a close race between Khurram Masood Kayani and Ahsan Hamid Lillah, while the position of general secretary will see a fierce competition between Raja Amir Mehmood and Khalil Ahmed.

Strict security measures have been put in place, with heavy police deployment.
