Four suspected robbers killed
Four alleged robbers were killed in three police encounters in the Tandlianwala area on Friday.
The first encounter took place when three armed bandits had robbed a citizen named Naveed of his motorcycle, watch, and mobile phone in the area of City Tandlianwala police station at night. After the police received information, the police party, led by SHO City Tandlianwala Rana Asghar, reached the spot and chased the bandits near 423-GB. During the encounter between the police and the bandits, one of the bandits, Lal alias Lalu, a resident of 425/GB, was injured by his accomplices' firing.
He was taken to THQ Tandlianwala Hospital in an injured condition, where he succumbed to his injuries. Upon receiving the information, SP Saddar Division and other police officers reached the spot.
After the postmortem, the body was transferred to the hospital, and the search for his remaining accomplices began.
Lal alias Lalu was wanted by the police in more than 50 serious incidents of robbery and dacoity, including the murder of three brothers and injuring one in the custody of Saddar Tandlianwala police station.
The police have registered cases against the killed and escaped bandits.
Meanwhile, three armed bandits set up a checkpoint and robbed a passerby on the 99th road of Pansera Road, Bypass. When Ali Raza, a resident of 414/GB, resisted the bandits, they shot and injured him before fleeing towards Kacha Gojra's Mochi Wala.
The injured passerby informed the police, and a heavy contingent of police, including SHO City Gojra and SHO Nawan Lahore Rai Arshad, responded and chased the bandits. During the encounter, two bandits, Muhammad Sulaiman, a resident of 241 Rabb and Shahid Ali, a resident of 73/JB Jhapal, were injured by their accomplices' firing. The Rescue 1122 team rushed them to THQ Hospital Gujrat, unfortunately, both bandits succumbed to their injuries. According to the police, the bandits were wanted in connection with multiple cases in several police stations, including Tehsil Tandlianwala Faisalabad, Tehsil Jhang Bazaar, and Tehsil Nishatabad.
Moreover, a police team from Millat Town police station was escorting Hasnain, an accused in multiple robbery and dacoity cases near Dry Port, to Bhage Wala Road for recovery purposes.
