Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that ideas and thoughts cannot be imprisoned or suppressed, adding that it was his message to the state institutions too.
He added that Imran Khan has become an ideology that lives in the hearts of the people and will return to power to fix the country.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Games at the Peshawar Sports Complex, Gandapur stressed that Imran Khan is a voice that will rise again and transform Pakistan into a truly independent nation.
Provincial Sports Minister Syed Fakhr Jahaan and members of the Assembly were also present at the event.
Gandapur further elaborated, "Winning and losing are part of the game. If someone doesn't win, they lose. In sports, victories and defeats can change; whoever performs well will win. However, there is a distinction between winning and losing in life."
He added, "In life, victory is based on ideology, ethics, and principles. Those who stand firm in their Islamic teachings, beliefs, traditions, and principles can achieve success. If one decides to win in life, no one can defeat them."
The chief minister also remarked, "Today, the person unjustly imprisoned by the state exists among us as an idea and a thought. Imran Khan has become an ideology that cannot be imprisoned or suppressed. Ideas never die; they cannot be eliminated." Gandapur said that he wanted to convey a message to the state and its institutions: what resides in people's hearts are ideas. They cannot be imprisoned. This is a voice you cannot suppress. This voice will rise again. Ideas do not die; they do not fade away. Imran Khan has become a symbol. He will return and make Pakistan a true Pakistan.
Gandapur on Thursday officially inaugurated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Games 2025.
The grand opening ceremony took place on Qayyum Stadium, Peshawar, featuring vibrant performances and a spectacular fireworks display. Traditional dances added a cultural touch to the colorful ceremony.
