The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has decided to release salaries and pensions earlier than scheduled due to upcoming weekend holidays, Express News reported.
Government employees and retired officials will receive their payments on February 28 instead of March 1, as the first two days of March fall on Saturday and Sunday, both weekly holidays.
A statement from the provincial finance department confirmed the decision, stating, "Salaries for government employees and pensions for retired workers, originally due on March 1, will now be disbursed on February 28 to avoid delays caused by the weekend."
The move ensures timely payments and avoids disruptions in financial transactions for public sector workers in the province.
