Amy Schumer reportedly offered support to Blake Lively amid her ongoing legal dispute with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni during the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special.

The comedian and the Gossip Girl actress were seen sharing a long, heartfelt hug at the star-studded event on Sunday. Lip reader Nicola Hickling analyzed the moment and provided details to the Daily Mail.

“I need this hug so much,” Lively allegedly told Schumer, before turning toward her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and adding, “God help me.”

“You’re gonna be okay,” Schumer, 43, reassured her. “They are projecting onto him.”

Hickling also noted that Lively, 37, expressed gratitude to the *Trainwreck* actress, saying, “Thank you for being there.”

During the event, Reynolds, 48, made a subtle joke about his wife’s legal battle with Baldoni, 41, when Tina Fey and Amy Poehler addressed him in the audience.

“Ryan Reynolds! How’s it going?” the two asked.

Making reference to the It Ends With Us controversy, the Deadpool actor quipped, “Great! Why, what have you heard?”

Lively then turned to her husband with a surprised expression as the audience erupted in laughter.

Sunday’s event marked the first time the couple had walked a red carpet together since the Age of Adaline star filed her sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni in December.

Body language expert Judi James analyzed their interaction at the event, telling Page Six that Lively appeared to display “signs of stoicism.”

“Initially, both seem intending to smile for the cameras, but those smiles look forced as they start to build on their faces,” James observed.

Sources also told Page Six that Lively and Reynolds “should have sat this one out,” adding that their public appearance “was not a good look.”

“It’s very plausible that Justin’s legal team will use this public outing to defend Baldoni,” the insider claimed. “Justin is taking this lawsuit in all seriousness and isn’t making a public mockery out of it.”

Another source, however, stated that the couple has “no regrets about making an appearance and they’re glad they showed up because they have nothing to hide and no reason not to.”
