Justin Baldoni has been targeted by "obvious lies" spread by Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, according to a source from the set of It Ends With Us, who spoke to MailOnline today.
The Hollywood insider, who was closely involved in the production of the $350 million film, claims to have text messages proving that the director was "caring," "sensitive," and "thoughtful" towards his co-star, particularly during romantic scenes.
This statement follows accusations that Ryan and Blake engaged in gaslighting by joking about their dispute with Justin during the SNL 50th Anniversary Special on Sunday.
The MailOnline source, who worked on It Ends With Us, is the first person from the set to speak out following Blake Lively’s allegations that she suffered from "grief, fear, trauma, and extreme anxiety" due to Baldoni’s actions.
"I got so angry hearing those obvious lies that I felt compelled to speak my truth," the insider said.
Blake Lively’s lawsuit claims that Baldoni engaged in "improvised physical intimacy" during a sex scene without prior discussion or choreography. She also alleged that he "discreetly [bit] and [sucked] on Ms. Lively's lower lip."
Additionally, Lively accused Baldoni of showing her explicit videos and photos of other women, openly discussing his struggles with pornography, and making inappropriate comments about her, including remarks about her weight.
However, a supporter of Baldoni, who has chosen to remain anonymous to protect their career but is willing to testify on his behalf in court, told MailOnline that Baldoni is actually the victim.
"He cared so deeply about that movie. It's absolutely ludicrous that anyone could ever say he was anything other than polite, respectful, caring, and professional during the process. I have text messages that show just how sensitive and thoughtful he was about it," they said.
The source believes that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively will use their financial resources to prolong the legal battle, making it as costly and "brutal" as possible for Baldoni.
"His friends, family, and co-workers know the truth, and at the end, the rest of the public will too," they added.
Baldoni has filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and civil extortion.
Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds’ decision to make light of his wife Blake Lively’s controversy involving Justin Baldoni has sparked backlash.
Experts have stated that by "minimizing" her claims, Reynolds' comments could discourage other abuse victims from coming forward.
