Tourists advised caution as heavy snowfall forecast

ISLAMABAD:
The PMD has warned of heavy snowfall that may cause road closures and slippery conditions in hilly areas from the night of Feb 19 to the morning of Feb 21.
The snowfall is expected in Murree, Galliyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch, and Haveli.
The PMD has indicated the possibility of landslides and avalanches in hilly areas of K-P, G-B, Kashmir, Murree, and Galliyat during this period.
The tourists have been advised to remain extra cautious and avoid unnecessary travel.
