Urvashi Rautela, who played a key role in promoting the Telugu film Daaku Maharaaj, has become the centre of attention once again, but this time, it’s not for her acting skills or catchy dance steps.
Instead, fans are voicing their disappointment after the poster for the film’s Netflix release, shared by Netflix India on social media, notably excluded the actress.
Despite Urvashi’s significant contribution to the film's promotional success, her absence from the new poster surprised many fans. The film, which features Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bobby Deol alongside Rautela, gained traction because of the viral dance sequence in the song Dabidi Dabidi, which also featured the actress.
Urvashi's promotional activities had already generated buzz, with her engaging in quirky conversations, and even claiming that the film had earned Indian ₹105 crores (around $12.1 million) at the box office.

The internet has exploded with reactions, some of which highlight the ironic nature of the situation. One user quipped, “First-ever, firstest ever lady to be removed from the poster of her film! First time ever happened to a lady who’s always first.” Others pointed out how Urvashi was integral in promoting the film, asking why she was left off the poster. “I’ve never seen such a downfall. She did the most promotions for this film!” one fan wrote.

While fans continue to express their disappointment, Daaku Maharaaj is set to debut on Netflix on February 21. Whether Urvashi’s absence from the poster will impact the film's reception remains to be seen, but the viral reaction certainly guarantees more attention for the film in the coming days.
