Patrick Schwarzenegger shared his family's emotional reaction to his casting in The White Lotus season 3.

Patrick Schwarzenegger’s latest role in The White Lotus season 3 was a dream come true—and his family’s reaction made it even more special.

The actor shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, capturing the moment his mother, Maria Shriver, and sister, Katherine Schwarzenegger, learned about his casting.

“This is the moment I found out I booked White Lotus,” Schwarzenegger wrote, adding that he initially had to keep the news a secret. In the video, Shriver first guessed that his fiancée, Abby Champion, might be pregnant before Schwarzenegger revealed he was heading to Thailand for filming. The family erupted into cheers, tears, and laughter in the middle of a restaurant.

“My whole family are huge fans of the show and always joked that I needed to find a way to be on it,” he shared. “It was a special moment celebrating with the people I love.”

Schwarzenegger plays the arrogant eldest son of a wealthy family in season 3 of HBO’s hit series. His character’s parents are portrayed by Jason Isaacs and Parker Posey, with Sam Nivola and Sarah Catherine Hook as his siblings.

Even Arnold Schwarzenegger showed his support, posting about the role and joking about his son’s nude scene, saying, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

The White Lotus season 3, set in Thailand, is now streaming on HBO.
