Amid the ongoing legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, political commentator Candace Owens has made explosive allegations.
On February 16, 2025, Owens claimed via Instagram that someone from Lively’s camp had been distributing HR complaints to tabloids like TMZ and The Daily Mail in an attempt to tarnish Baldoni’s reputation.
"I became aware a couple of weeks ago that somebody from Blake Lively's camp was shopping around what they claimed to be HR complaints," Owens said, alleging that major media outlets refused to publish the material. She further claimed that after these failed attempts, Lively’s team turned to independent journalists and TikTok creators to push the narrative.
Owens also shared images of the alleged HR complaints with redacted names and dates. She speculated that some of the redacted figures could include Jenny Slate and Isabel Ferrer, further fueling speculation about the extent of the controversy.
The allegations come amid Lively’s ongoing lawsuit against Baldoni, in which her attorneys claim she has been the target of a smear campaign. Recently, multiple telecom companies, including Verizon and AT&T, were subpoenaed in connection to the case.
Ryan Reynolds, Lively’s husband, added to the media frenzy with a cryptic joke during the SNL50 special on February 16. When asked how things were going, he quipped, “Great… why, what have you heard?” His remark, along with Lively’s visible reaction, has only intensified public interest in the lawsuit.
If a settlement is not reached, the case is set to go to trial in May 2026.
