Afaq's bail plea adjourned till 20th

KARACHI:

The Anti-Terrorism Court, on public prosecutor's request for more time to review the police file, has adjourned the hearing of Afaq Ahmed's bail petition in the Korangi and Landhi truck burning cases until February 20.

Jail authorities presented Afaq Ahmed, the chairman of the Muhajir Qaumi Movement, before the ATC.

The court inquired from the investigation officer about the progress of the investigation. The court also inquired about what offence was committed by Afaq Ahmed, to which the IO said that Afaq held an inciting press conference, which led to the registration of the case.
