Catherine Zeta-Jones to star in revenge thriller series Kill Jackie based on Nick Harkaway's novel

Jones is set to play Jackie Price in Kill Jackie, a thriller about revenge, danger, and buried secrets.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is set to star in the upcoming revenge thriller series Kill Jackie (working title), based on Nick Harkaway’s novel The Price You Pay, written under the pseudonym Aidan Truhen. The series is a collaboration between Prime Video, Fremantle, and Steel Springs Pictures and will begin production in March.

Zeta-Jones will portray Jackie Price, a woman who has spent the last two decades living a life of luxury. She enjoys traveling, selling fine art through clever tax loopholes, and maintaining a low profile after escaping a dangerous past in the international cocaine trade. However, Jackie’s life takes a deadly turn when she learns that The Seven Demons, a group of ruthless hitmen, has been hired to kill her. Assuming the threat comes from someone in her past, Jackie reactivates her old instincts and embarks on a mission to take down the killers one by one. As she uncovers buried secrets, Jackie discovers that her own demons might be far more terrifying than the hitmen on her trail.

In addition to starring in the series, Zeta-Jones will also serve as an executive producer. She expressed excitement about exploring a complex character and a female-driven plot filled with empowerment, identity, and redemption.

Filming will take place in several cities, including Bilbao, Lisbon, London, and Swansea. Kill Jackie will be available for streaming on Prime Video across various countries, with Fremantle handling most international sales. The series will be directed by Damon Thomas (Killing Eve) with Tom Butterworth (Gangs of London) as writer and showrunner.

Zeta-Jones joins a talented creative team, including co-writer Conor Keane and executive producers Peter Lawson, Jose Augustin Valdes, and Dante Di Loreto. Kill Jackie promises a thrilling mix of dark comedy, unexpected twists, and intense action.
