New block at DHQ Hospital Matiari inaugurated

The newly constructed building of the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital was inaugurated by MPA Makhdoom Fakhruddin Zaman on Thursday at a ceremony attended by health and administration officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Zaman reiterated the Sindh government's commitment to improving healthcare in the province. He announced the establishment of a chest pain unit at the DHQ Hospital to cater to heart patients, saying that the government was determined to enhance medical facilities for local population.

Zaman assured that a letter would be sent to the chief minister and health minister with a request for additional medical facilities and resources for the hospital.

The DHQ Hospital will soon be equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and the necessary facilities. The Health Department is in the process of approving additional manpower for the hospital to address the shortage of doctors and staff. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Yousuf Shaikh, who also spoke at the event, announced that work on improving the road leading to the DHQ Hospital would be completed in the near future.
