Accidents galore as speeding vehicles run amok

A bike rider was killed when a dumper hit him while crossing the Malir Memon Goth area on Thursday. The motorcyclist, identified as Saif ullah, died on the spot. The Rescue team shifted him to nearby hospital.

In another incident, six people, including three women, were injured when a speeding passenger van overturned near Singer Chowrangi, Korangi on Thursday.

The injured individuals include 19-year-old Shahbaz, 30-year-old Afia Zahid, 35-year-old Majid, 40-year-old Zareen and Khurshid Bano and 50-year-old Parvez. They were immediately rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).

According to SHO Awami Colony Saud, the accident occurred due to over speeding. All the injured are being provided with immediate medical attention.

Meanwhile, a high-speed dumper crashed into a pedestrian bridge on Rashid Minhas Road. The dumper driver got injured while the cleaner escaped after being beaten up by citizens.

The pedestrian bridge was damaged in the accident.
