Bestselling author Colleen Hoover has returned to Instagram after briefly deactivating her account on January 22. Upon her return on February 12, fans noticed that her profile no longer featured photos of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the stars of the It Ends with Us movie adaptation.
Her social media comeback follows the ongoing legal battle between Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 41, which began after Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against her co-star and director on December 20, 2024. The complaint alleged misconduct during the film’s production and claimed Baldoni later orchestrated a smear campaign against her.
Hoover had previously shown support for Lively, posting an Instagram Story on December 21, praising her honesty and kindness. Meanwhile, Baldoni has denied all allegations, countering with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist.
The case has escalated further, with Baldoni suing The New York Times for $250 million, accusing the outlet of publishing a damaging report about him. His legal team has also launched a website presenting evidence against Lively, prompting a judge to warn both parties against litigating the matter in public.
The trial is set for March 9, 2026, while Hoover’s decision to distance herself from both stars raises speculation about her stance in the ongoing feud.
