386th Urs of Sufi saint starts in Thatta

HYDERABAD:

The 386th annual three-day Urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ashabi, a renowned Sufi saint, has begun in Thatta, Sindh. Provincial Minister for Auqaf, Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi, inaugurated the event by laying a floral chadar at the shrine. The Urs is expected to attract a large number of devotees and pilgrims.

Speaking to the media, Minister Shirazi emphasised the importance of Sufi saints in promoting love, peace, and harmony. He noted that Sindh is the land of Sufi saints and mystics who have always preached unity and brotherhood.

The minister also highlighted the measures taken by the government to ensure the security and comfort of the pilgrims, including the installation of CCTV cameras and walk-through gates.
