NAB chief vows end to harassment

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Lt-Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmed Butt assured the business community of relief from irrational cases, emphasising NAB's commitment to supporting businesses and curbing harassment by government departments.

Speaking at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), he stated that 13 out of 14 business-related cases were resolved within six months, demonstrating NAB's efficiency. He urged KCCI to submit five general and five to six individual cases for priority resolution

He stressed that the culture of fear and harassment at NAB had been eliminated. "New rules have been instituted to prevent business harassment," he said, adding that NAB's Businessmen Facilitation Desk will now include KCCI, ABAD, and other institutions.
