Talagang shooting leaves three dead

Three people were killed in a firing incident following a land feud in the Nikkah Kohat area in the jurisdiction of Saddar police station of Talagang on Wednesday, witnesses and police said.

Police said that members of two rival groups, who are also relatives, exchanged fire with each other, resulting in the killing of three people including two real brothers.

The victims were identified as Abdul Jabbar Ahmed, Naveed Iftikhar, and Umair Iftikhar. Rescue 1122 ambulances arrived at the scene and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital.

Chakwal District Police Officer (DPO) Ahmed Mohiuddin arrived at the crime scene and took immediate notice of the triple murder.

The police received an emergency call at 15 that unknown people shot and killed three people.

Preliminary reports suggest that the cause of the dispute was a land conflict.
