Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni are locked in a legal battle over allegations of sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us. Lively claims Baldoni engaged in unwanted kissing, inappropriate discussions about his sex life, and attempted to insert explicit content into the film.

After Lively filed a lawsuit in January, Baldoni hit back with a $400 million countersuit against her, Ryan Reynolds, and publicist Leslie Sloane, accusing them of civil extortion, defamation, and invasion of privacy. He also launched thelawsuitinfo.com, a website presenting his side of the case.

A central point in the case is Baldoni’s handwritten notes from a meeting with the film’s intimacy coordinator, which he argues disprove Lively’s claims. Lively alleged that there was no coordinator present until she demanded one. However, Baldoni’s timeline states that an intimacy coordinator was hired on April 5, 2023, but Lively declined an early meeting. He messaged her, “Just hired intimacy coordinator who I LOVE. Will set you up to meet/FT with her next week for intro.” Lively responded, “I feel good. I can meet her when we start :) thank you though!”

Baldoni later met with the intimacy coordinator, took notes, and relayed them to Lively. These notes contained phrases like “goes down on her,” “orgasm,” “foreplay,” and “the cl*t test”. Baldoni insists that the explicit content Lively objected to came from these official notes, not his personal input.

Lively also alleged “inappropriate, improvised” kissing on set, but Baldoni’s lawsuit counters that “any improvisation was made by Lively”. In a May 22 hospital scene, he claims, “In one take, she pulls Baldoni in and kisses him once; in another, twice.” He argues that Lively determined the number of kisses herself.

In a January 2024 meeting, Lively laid out 30 demands, including a rule against discussing past HR complaints and a requirement that all intimacy scenes be overseen by an approved professional.

As the legal dispute unfolds, both sides stand by their narratives, making this one of Hollywood’s most high-profile on-set controversies.
