Two major pizza chains, Domino’s and Papa John’s, have launched unconventional food-inspired fragrances ahead of Valentine’s Day, aiming to bring the scent of pizza beyond the dining table.

Domino’s has unveiled Eau de Passion, a limited-edition perfume available exclusively in the UK and Ireland. According to the company, the fragrance is designed to capture the aroma of a Domino’s Pepperoni Passion pizza, featuring notes of spice, pepper, and a warm, woody base. Packaged in a pizza slice-inspired pyramid bottle, the fragrance can be won through an online giveaway running from February 10-17.

Meanwhile, Papa John’s is taking a bolder approach stateside with a garlic-infused bath bomb inspired by its signature Garlic Dipping Sauce. The limited-edition bath bomb is being distributed to select fans who express their love for the chain on social media. While the company has not disclosed the exact scent profile, fans speculate whether the fragrance leans more toward garlic, butter, or a combination of both.

While food-scented perfumes and toiletries have gained popularity in recent years, reactions to these pizza-themed products have been mixed. While some fans are eager to try them, others question whether garlic and pepperoni are scents best reserved for the kitchen.

As novelty fragrances continue to push boundaries, it remains to be seen whether these pizza-inspired scents will become a viral sensation or simply a passing trend. For now, lucky recipients of Papa John’s bath bomb will soon discover just how difficult it is to remove the artificial garlic aroma from their tubs.
