Drake appeared to acknowledge the ongoing tension with Kendrick Lamar by altering the lyrics of his song Knife Talk during a performance in Melbourne, Australia. In the original track from his 2021 album Certified Lover Boy, Drake raps, "Beef is live, spoiler alert, this n***a dies." However, during his concert, he changed the line to, "Beef is live, spoiler alert, I never died," a move that fans believe was a direct response to Lamar’s recent Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.

This change comes just days after Kendrick Lamar took multiple shots at Drake during the Super Bowl. Before performing his diss track Not Like Us, Lamar seemingly referenced Drake’s rumored legal action against Universal Music Group, saying, “I want to perform their favorite song, but you know they love to sue.” Additionally, Lamar welcomed tennis legend Serena Williams onstage, a moment some fans interpreted as a subtle jab at Drake, who was once romantically linked to Williams.
Drake’s altered lyrics have sparked debate online, with mixed reactions from fans. Some argued that Lamar is the only one keeping the beef alive, while others defended Drake, pointing out his continued success. "Drake still richer, still got more hits, still pulls more baddies," one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), dismissing Lamar’s jabs.
Currently, Drake is on his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia, with upcoming performances scheduled in Sydney and Brisbane before concluding in Auckland, New Zealand, next month.
As their feud continues to escalate, fans are closely watching to see whether either artist will make a more direct move in the ongoing rap battle.
