GloRilla addresses sister’s viral claims about family support
Rapper responds on Instagram Live after sibling accuses her of neglecting relatives and financial responsibilities

Memphis rapper GloRilla addressed a public dispute with her estranged sister after allegations surfaced online accusing the artist of failing to financially support family members.
Victoria Woods — who goes by the name Scar Face — shared a series of livestreams and social media posts claiming that GloRilla had not been helping relatives despite her commercial success. Woods alleged that their mother was still employed at FedEx, questioned the rapper’s support of an autistic brother, and said she was owed financial assistance, including help with rent.
The claims gained traction on social media, prompting widespread discussion.
GloRilla responded during an Instagram Live session, asking for privacy and urging her sister to stop discussing family matters publicly. “Keep my family out of it, and keep me out of it,” she said, while also indicating she would not address certain personal issues. She added that the family members she remains close to are “straight,” suggesting they are being supported.
The rapper also posted a screenshot of a message from her mother expressing gratitude, which she presented as evidence of financial support.
Other relatives weighed in publicly. GloRilla’s brother, comedian and actor Mojo Brooks, posted a video encouraging his sisters to stop sharing family conflicts online. Her father said private matters should not be discussed publicly, while cousin Lena Harris told a local outlet that GloRilla has provided financial assistance to relatives, referencing significant gifts and payments.
Woods later claimed that additional support had come from outside the family, stating that rapper Tory Lanez had offered assistance. She also shared screenshots indicating she had received money following her public appeals.
During her livestream, GloRilla said that the online controversy had affected her mother, who resigned from her job at FedEx after being drawn into the dispute.
The exchange has since slowed, though Woods continues to post on social media. The situation has sparked broader conversations among fans about expectations placed on celebrities to financially support extended family members once they achieve success, as noted in Young’s report.
