Immigration Fraud: 2 with tampered passports offloaded
FIA caught two people trying to travel abroad on tampered passports at Allama Iqbal International Airport
LAHORE:
Immigration staffers of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) caught two people trying to travel abroad on tampered passports at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday. A man identified as Adnan Mustafa, a resident Gujrat, had been due to fly to Rome via Bahrain, but was stopped at the immigration counter when it was discovered that his passport actually belonged to one Sohail Butt, son of Obaidullah Butt, a resident of Narowal. Mustafa had pasted his own picture in the passport. Another passenger, Shumaila Habib, daughter of Abdul Habib Siddque and a resident of Allama Iqbal Town, was due to travel to Chicago via Barcelona on PIA. The bio-data page on her machine readable passport had been altered. A case was later registered against Mustafa, while Habib was released.
