Contempt Of Court: Arrest warrants for two cops issued
For failing to record their statements in court in a murder case despite court notices.
LAHORE:
An Additional District and Sessions judge (AD&SJ) on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of two Manga Mandi police station sub-inspectors for not complying with court orders in a murder case. AD&SJ Javedul Hassan Chishti issued these warrants against Sub Inspectors Haji Shah Muhammad and Muhammad Ashraf for failing to record their statements in court in a murder case despite court notices. The judge also wrote a letter to the capital city police officer to look into the matter and ensure that court orders were complied with.
