Atif Aslam's burst of talent in both his studio albums and onstage is undeniable. And let it be known that the versatile singer still packs surprises. During his concert in Dubai on Saturday, Atif covered Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk.
As one would expect, the internet was in awe of the Doorie singer in more ways than one. While some expressed envy for the concertgoers, others couldn't help but admire Atif's energetic performance of a song that they'd never imagined he would take on. "Absolute legend. There's nothing he can't do," one Instagram user declared. "I can sleep peacefully now. Or am I already dreaming?!" another user wondered.
The cover was a part of Atif's brisk medley that had his audience gripped till the end. Other hit tracks from the setlist included Naseebo Lal's Kadi Te Has Bol Ve, Allah Duhai Hai from Race 2, and Tu Chahiye from Bajrangi Bhaijaan. As the crowd echoed his tunes, Atif even climbed down the stairs to interact with fans.
Fans on YouTube had only praises to dispense for the Aadat singer as he mingled with his enthusiasts and belted crowd-favourites that had the arena roaring. "This man keeps levelling up," one user noted. "He's a legend for a reason. The voice of a million hearts," penned another.
From lighting up the stage to running into other stars, Atif's trip to Dubai has been nothing short of spectacular. On Monday, he met up with Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and American singer Jason Derulo, as per posts shared by the artists on Instagram. "This trio is hitting all the notes," Atif wrote.
Naturally, fans in the comments section were riddled with thoughts. "Is something big on the way?" a user speculated. Others likened it to Atif's music programme Borderless World – a space that welcomes the talents of artists around the world. If a collaboration between these singers is indeed brewing, music enthusiasts might have to strap in for it.
As of late, the Pehli Nazar Mein singer has been running into crossover episodes during his time overseas. In September, Diljit Dosanjh's tour producer Sonali Singh delighted music fans on both sides of the border (and beyond) by sharing wholesome images on Instagram featuring both Atif and British singer Ed Sheeran meeting backstage at Diljit's Birmingham concert, as part of his DIL-Luminati tour.
