PA united on Kashmir Solidarity Day

Sindh Assembly unanimously passed a resolution on Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The resolution was jointly presented by members of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi MOvement (MQM), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).

The resolution condemned the atrocities committed by Indian forces in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmiri (IIOJK) and demanded the implementation of UN resolutions for plebiscite in the disputed territory. The treasury and opposition members in the assembly praised the struggle of Kashmiri people and termed India's illegal occupation as a violation of basic human rights. Education Minister Sardar Shah said that Kashmir has historically been a part of Indus Valley, and India has no right over it. PPP's Heer Soho said that Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto always raised their voices for the freedom of Kashmir.

PPP MPA Nuzhat Pathan said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had spoken of a long war for Kashmir. Khairunnisa Mughal termed the atrocities of the Indian army to "rivers of blood".

MQM MPA Fouzia Hameed said that those demanding fundamental rights are not killed in any corner of the world.
