Zara writes tear-jerker birthday wish for Asma

Zara Noor Abbas took to Instagram to wish her mother and veteran actor Asma Abbas a very happy birthday. "What do I say, Amma? You know I am nothing without you. I am completely stupid without you," Zara confessed from the get-go. "I don't even know how to wear a sari without you. My organisation skills suck because you made everything super ready for me. But now I have got to learn this, Ma, because I have got to do life on my own."

Plugging her words to two candid captures of her mother, the Khamoshi actor admitted that there are obstacles in life that she isn't quite prepared for but must brave them anyway. "I have got to grow up! I have got to be your Mama rather than be your baby. which I hate to do. But I must do it. Because you have done a lot for me. And now I should step up!

"You are the closest thing I have to heaven. Thank you for being there for me. I love you very much. A very happy birthday, Amma dear. Please be with me forever?" she wrote.

Followers in the comments section understood Zara's sentiments all too well. Moved by her words, one user remarked, "Okay, I'm so emotional after reading that caption, and I know Zara must've cried too! That question mark after 'Please be with me forever' is so deep!"

Others followed suit in pouring out their heartfelt wishes for the birthday star. "Happiest birthday to you, Asma Aapa!" a user wrote. "May she live very long. Happy birthday, [Asma Abbas]. Love you so much," expressed another.

Zara's sentiments didn't slip past her mother, who responded with words just as tender. Forever happy to make sacrifices for her daughter, Asma promised, "As long as she's alive, your mother will always be with you. My strength, my daughter. I love you."
