Kanye West and Don Lemon clash over Grammys 2025 rumors after viral moment with Bianca Censori

Kanye West and Don Lemon clashed online after false rumors claimed West and Bianca Censori were removed from Grammys.

Kanye West and journalist Don Lemon engaged in a heated social media exchange on Monday after Lemon attempted to interview the rapper on the Grammys 2025 red carpet.

The dispute began when West, now known as Ye, posted—then deleted—a message accusing Lemon of spreading false rumors that he and his wife, Bianca Censori, were removed from the event. The claim, which quickly circulated online, was later proven untrue.

West and Bianca’s Grammy outfit drew significant attention when she removed her black coat, revealing a sheer dress without underwear. The bold fashion choice fueled speculation that security had escorted the couple out, but reports later confirmed they were not forced to leave.

Responding to West’s accusations, Lemon released a video denying involvement in spreading the rumor. “I did not start a rumor about you being kicked out of the Grammys. I actually corrected it,” he said, adding a sharp remark about West’s past political affiliations.

Before the controversy escalated, Lemon attempted to engage West in an interview, asking him about artists he wanted to spotlight. However, the rapper dismissed the question, replying, “Give me a second, I’m focused,” before walking away. A clip of the exchange went viral, with fans reacting to West’s response.

At the event, photographers were instructed to refer to West as Ye, and security reportedly asked the media to step back before his arrival. West was nominated for Best Rap Song for “Carnival,” a track he co-wrote with Ty Dolla Sign under their duo, ¥$. However, the award went to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

Neither West nor Lemon have issued further comments on the controversy.
