Karachi weather update: Cold, dry spell with partial cloud cover

The weather in Karachi will remain cold and dry over the next 24 hours, with partially cloudy skies, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The minimum temperature was recorded at 13.8°C, while the maximum is expected to reach 28°C.

The mercury could drop as low as 11°C later tonight, the PMD said.

Winds blew at speeds ranging from 5 to 20 km/h from different directions, keeping conditions cool.

Light fog in the morning reduced visibility to 2.5 kilometres, causing slight discomfort for early commuters.

Meanwhile, the PMD has forecast a new westerly weather system entering Pakistan in the upcoming days, which could impact conditions in various regions.

Earlier, Karachi continued to experience cold weather as chilly winds and light fog persisted across the city on Monday.

The minimum temperature in the city today were recorded at 13.5°C, with visibility limited to just 3 kilometres due to the morning fog, Express News reported.

The weather in Karachi remained cold and dry for the next 24 hours, with clear skies throughout the day. The maximum temperature was predicted to reach 28°C, while the minimum temperature would hover around 11°C.

The department also forecasted that winds will blow at a speed of 10 to 25 kilometres per hour from the north and north-east during the day, continuing to keep the weather relatively cool.
