Ramzan Sugar Mills case verdict on Feb 6
An anti-corruption court on Monday reserved its verdict in the Ramzan Sugar Mills reference filed against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son, Hamza Shehbaz.
The decision will be announced on February 6 after both sides concluded their arguments.
The hearing was presided over by Anti-Corruption Judge Sardar Muhammad Iqbal Dogar.
During the proceedings, defence counsel Amjad Pervez argued that the drainage channel's construction was not solely approved by then-chief minister Shehbaz Sharif, but rather by the Punjab cabinet in the public interest. He also claimed the case was politically motivated.
