Knight and Day premieres in Lahore

Knight and Day may not have done wonders at the box office in the US but it received thundering applause here.

Knight and Day may not have done wonders at the box office in the US but its premiere in the DHA Cinema here was received with thundering applause.

Organised by Bilal Mukhtar Event and PR, the premiere had a full house which was attended by a number of stars from the fashion and social circles of the country.

Knight and Day was directed by James Mangold and stars Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz as Roy Miller and June Havens respectively. The two meet by chance and are swept into a glamorous and deadly adventure. Miller is a federal agent, trying to protect a new invention from terrorists and corrupt federal agents who have joined hands with arms dealers. Miller uses Havens to clear security checks at the airport and then works hard to protect her from people out to kill her.

The action packed comedy takes the audience on a whirlwind journey to different cities all around the world and features exotic locations in America, Austria and Germany. The fast-paced story was highlighted with comedic elements and kept the entire audience hooked to the screen.

The sound track of the film was a prominent feature and featured the music of a number of talented groups including The Black Eyed Peas with the track “Someday”.

The event was attended by Amna Kardar, Ali Azmat, Sabina Pasha, Maria B, Amna Haq, Maram Aabroo, Nooray, Sofia Khan and many others. “The movie has really entertained me and didn’t let me feel bored even for a second,” said Maria B. Ali Azmat also enjoyed the movie and gave positive feedback about the event.

Bilal Mukhtar said that the purpose of such movies was to promote the cinema going culture in the country and said he hopes to hold similar events in the future.
