On his one-day visit to Quetta, PM Shahbaz Sharif will meet provincial leaders for security updates.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has visited Quetta to meet with soldiers injured in the recent terrorist attack in the city.

During his one-day visit, he paid tribute to the sacrifices made by security forces and stressed the need for unity in the face of growing terrorism challenges in the region.

The Prime Minister, who was accompanied by senior officials, visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Quetta where the injured soldiers were being treated.

He praised the courage and dedication of the soldiers, describing them as "the heroes of the nation" and expressed pride in their sacrifice for the protection of Pakistan.

During his speech at a meeting after visiting the hospital, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said, "Our brave soldiers are giving their blood to rectify the great mistakes of the past. They are fighting to eliminate terrorism, and it is through their sacrifices that Pakistan will emerge victorious."

He also expressed his admiration for the determination of the injured soldiers, who remained positive despite their injuries. "Even if part of their bodies is affected, they view it as a sacrifice for the greater good of the nation. They told me that if we have to lay down our lives for the cause of our country, it is no great price to pay."

Prime Minister Sharif further emphasised that the fight against terrorism is a collective effort, saying, "With the leadership of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, the officers, soldiers, and political leadership, we will ensure that Pakistan becomes a peaceful haven."

Referring to the recent terrorist attack in Quetta's Kalat region, where 18 soldiers were martyred, the Prime Minister assured the public that the country's law enforcement agencies were working tirelessly to secure peace in the region. He also acknowledged the sacrifices made by the fallen soldiers and reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the citizens of Balochistan and the entire country.

"Today is not the time for division or politics. We must stand united in our efforts to combat terrorism. Only through unity will we be able to defeat the forces of extremism," he said.

The Prime Minister also hailed the families of the soldiers for raising such brave young men, describing them as the pride of the nation. "We salute them, and with their sacrifices, Pakistan will emerge victorious and stronger than ever," he concluded.

Earlier, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Governor Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhel and Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti. They jointly held a meeting with other key figures, including Defence Minister, Information Minister, Energy Minister, Chief Secretary, and IG of Police.

The meeting also focused on the security situation and efforts to strengthen the peace and development of Balochistan.
