Youth conference concludes on message to preserve heritage
The three-day youth conference organised by the Sindh government's sports department concluded on a message to preserve heritage.
Earlier, during the conference, the youth were also taken to visit places of historical and cultural importance in Karachi, including Mohatta Palace, Quaid-e-Azam's residence, the Chaukhandi tombs, and Frere Hall. The closing ceremony was held at the Frere Hall.
Prominent Archaeologist Dr Kaleemullah Lashari, while addressing the youth participating in the conference, stressed the importance of historical heritage.
Lashari encouraged the youth to be aware of their past and protect historical places. He stated that the youth are the future of any nation and it is very important for them to know about their heritage, "these places are our identity and we should protect them."
The youth also presented their poetry at the conference. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Abdul Aleem Lashari, while addressing the closing ceremony, said that the aim of this conference was to provide a platform to the youth, where they could openly express their ideas and get an opportunity to test their skills in different fields.
The conference covered various topics including education, health, employment and social issues.
A total of 120 young men and women from different districts of Sindh participated in the event. At the closing ceremony, all participants were awarded certificates of appreciation.
