PPP leader registers complaint with PM over gas outages

In his letter addressed to the PM, former senator Mukhtiar Aajiz Dhamrah, informs about poor service of SSGS Company.

HYDERABAD:

The Pakistan Peoples Party Information Secretary has lodged a complaint with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about gas outages in the province affecting lives of the common people.

In his letter addressed to the PM, former senator Mukhtiar Aajiz Dhamrah, informs about poor service of Sui Southern Gas Supply Company.

"Students are forced to go to school and college without breakfast, while working people leave their homes for offices on empty stomachs," he lamented.

He noted that despite the PM's announcement, the company is conducting outages outside the scheduled hours of 5am to 10pm every day.

Dhamrah reminded the PM that his directives on gas supply schedule are being disregarded.

He further added, "despite the load-shedding, gas pressure remains extremely low." The former senator said it is unfortunate to witness how badly the lives of citizens are affected in Sindh due to the gas outages.

He urged the PM to ensure that a uniform gas load-shedding schedule is implemented across the country to prevent a sense of discrimination from germinating in the minds of people.

He underscored that the people can adjust their routines and meal times if the gas companies can implement scheduled hours of outages.
