Doctor shot dead during robbery

A homeopathic doctor was shot and killed during a robbery bid in Batala Colony on Sunday.

The police have taken possession of the body and handed it over to the family after completing legal formalities.

According to police reports, 50-year-old Tahir Majeed, a resident of Mohalla Shadipura Street 6, operated a homeopathic clinic at Bismillah Chowk, Batala Colony.

Two armed robbers on a motorcycle attempted to loot him. When Tahir Majeed resisted, the assailants shot him in the head before fleeing the scene.
