PESHAWAR:

The newly appointed Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Junaid Akbar Khan, issued guidelines on Sunday for provincial assembly members, party officials, and local government representatives.

Chairing his first official meeting, Junaid Akbar emphasized that no party member would be asked to donate money for rallies, nor would MPAs be given targets to bring workers to protests. The meeting was attended by members of the national and provincial assemblies, PTI officials, and local government representatives.

He also issued specific instructions regarding the upcoming protest rally in Swabi on February 8, stating that the event must demonstrate the party's ability to reclaim its mandate.

"I am not in the race for any ministry; my sole focus is to fulfill my responsibilities as the party's provincial president," he asserted.

Junaid Akbar revealed that he was initially hesitant to accept the position a month and a half ago but ultimately agreed out of loyalty to PTI's founder.

Reiterating his stance on financial transparency, he made it clear that PTI would not collect money from members for rallies. "No party member has been assigned a target to bring workers," he added.
