Smuggled items seized from train

The Special Branch also inspected the Pakistan Express and arrested an illegal vendor.

LAHORE:

The Special Branch of Railways Police Lahore conducted a raid on Jaffer Express on Saturday and seized non-custom-paid goods from the brake van.

According to a spokesperson, the confiscated items included imported cosmetics, mobile phone accessories and perfumes.

Additionally, two dozen bottles of imported shampoo were found in the luggage of a railway employee on duty with the train.

A significant quantity of unbooked goods was also seized, including nine cartons of chocolates.

The Special Branch also inspected the Pakistan Express and arrested an illegal vendor.

The non-custom-paid goods were handed over to the customs authorities for further action.
